Fall 2026 Intern, Exhibitions and Collections

Major: Entomology with a Microbiology Minor

Anticipated Year of Graduation: Spring 2028

What collections are you working with: Exhibitions and Collections

Who is your staff/faculty mentor: Drs. Victor Thompson and Kelsey Sullivan

What are your interests (academic & otherwise): I am into wildlife, but most especially bugs & critters and marine life. Academic-wise, I am studying entomology and hope to go into research on pollinators and/or insect-transmitted pathogens. In my free time, I enjoy runs & hikes, animated shows, and playing games (mainly in the rogue-like genre).

What are you doing with your collection during your internship: I think I'll be applied to a variety of tasks, spanning from moving things around, sorting and taking inventory, to hopefully helping with the creation of promotional materials and content. I'm really excited to be working with all these wildlife specimens!

What made you want to do an internship with GMNH: I've always enjoyed going to aquariums and natural history museums as a kid, so I was excited to find out that we had one here on campus, even though I haven't been able to tour it due to it being closed for renovations. But I thought that this internship would give me an opportunity to look into and be involved with the inner workings of a museum. I'm really looking forward to helping take part in how the exhibitions are prepared and arranged, as well as engaging and building a community with the museum, as we prepare to open this semester!
