Information about the Friends of the Georgia Museum of Natural History can be found on their external website, including ways to apply for membership online. The Friends of the Georgia Museum of Natural History is a non-profit organization created to support and advance the mission and programs of the Museum by increasing public awareness, supporting service and outreach programs, fundraising, and mobilizing other resources. Membership is available to anyone who shares an interest in the Museum and a fascination with natural history. All members receive the newsletter, The Nature of Things, and invitations to members-only events and field trips. There are opportunities for Friends to visit the Museum, help with collections, and be of service as the Museum expands its exhibits and building plans. Volunteers are also needed. Tax-deductible contributions may be made at several levels. Friends membership contributions are used to support Museum education programs and public relations.
