Due to current construction, the visitor parking spaces are currently unavailable. However, visitors may park alongside/parallel to the construction fence directly across from the museum entrance. You may get a complimentary temporary parking permit from the museum office to use while visiting the gallery.

In 1978, the University formally recognized the Museum of Natural History, and in 1999, the Georgia General Assembly recognized it as the official state museum of natural history.
